Drinking Tea @ Jhana Grove Meditation Centre

In retreat, I think it’s good to have some calming tea available, letting retreatant feel relax and settle into the environment fast or able to have better sleep at night, then able to meditate.  I remembered in those Executive Retreats, often, special afternoon tea served by the hotel are pandan, lemon grass, blue pea, roselle … (w/wo sugar)

In Jhana Grove, I often made a cup of coffee in the morning and a cup of tea in the afternoon. Then, simply sat down, leaning this – “When there’s nothing to do, then do nothing. When there is something to do, give it 100%”.

Some kind soul left different type of ginger and chamomile tea bags there – chamomile and peppermint, chamomile with honey, chamomile with vanilla, peppermint, ginger with honey, ginger …

Sitting down and enjoy it. A way to learn how to relax and give the body the rest it needed. Not rushing and reacting to every single thoughts that come to mind …
